The Design Process
Our skilled designers will guide you through the frame design process, helping you choose the materials that best enhance your artwork and your decor. We work with you to create a finished product that suits your needs, your budget, your schedule, and your unique personal style. We want you to love your art!
We follow proper preservation practices to ensure that your art can be displayed & enjoyed for a lifetime. Our hard-working staff has years of hands-on framing & design experience. Imagine It Framed uses only the best conservation materials to protect your framed art, like acid-free & museum-quality mats, and Conservation Grade 99% UV-protected glazing to help protect your art from fading such as Museum Glass® from Tru Vue®.
Imagine It Framed has a huge selection of custom frame mouldings! With hundreds of frame corner samples and mat choices, we can create the perfect framing design that’s just right for your artwork. We have a complete style range from contemporary to traditional. Choose from fabric mats like linens, suedes, and raw silks, hundreds of fillets, or standard-sized premade frames.
If you’re pretty handy and like to do your own framing, great! We love working with do-it-yourselfers. We have a designated area so you can DIY in style: bring in your art, pick your own mats, hinge your art, pick your frame (or bring in your own), and assemble the finished project. We can custom cut your mat and cut & clean your glass for you.
We want you to love your project!
If for any reason you are not completely happy with the design of your project, you can return it within 14 days and we’ll redesign it without additional charges and with no hassle. You pay only the difference if the new design is more expensive. Craftsmanship and materials are covered for the life of the project.
Is Custom Framing expensive?
Not necessarily. We have affordable options for the budget-conscious. At Imagine It Framed, we can provide a unique, quality product at prices comparable to large chain stores.
Do I really need Custom Framing?
Whether your art is a museum-quality original or an inexpensive poster, it means something to you. You can’t put a price on that. We will help you choose the options that best fit your objective, budget, and time requirements. Our focus is on providing professional custom designed framing in a manner that best presents and maintains the value of your art. We only use quality materials, including acid-free mats and conservation glass, but we can frame at all price points. Don’t be intimidated by custom framing.
How long does Custom Framing take?
Our standard turnaround is two weeks, but rush orders are no problem. If you need it fast, you don’t need to compromise quality. With our in-house saw shop, we can always find the perfect solution for a last minute gift, or rush order from our stock inventory.
Do I have to use a custom frame?
Nope! You can bring your own frame in, or choose from our large selection of premade frames.
Can I frame it myself?
If you’re pretty handy and like to do your own framing, great! We love working with do-it-yourselfers. We have a designated area so you can DIY in style: bring in your art, pick your own mats, hinge your art, pick your frame (or bring in your own), and assemble the finished project. We can custom cut your mat and cut & clean your glass for you. Plus, if you need supplies we can order all of your framing materials.
What should I expect when I bring in my art?
As professional framers, we will work with you to make sure you receive the best options for you, your budget, your schedule, and your art. Our creative designers will guide you through the process by asking questions about your art, where it is going to hang, your decor style, and your needs. Most consultations take 20-30 minutes. We will order the supplies needed to fulfill your order, assemble your art, install appropriate hanging hardware, and call you when it’s ready.
Computerized Mat Cutter
Imagine It Framed uses a computerized mat cutter known as “The Wizard” for precision mat cutting. The Wizard allows us to create complex decorative cuts with ease and speed. Let your creativity soar and use the mat as an extension of your artwork. We can also cut mats for you while you wait!
